Course

This course is designed for students who want to venture into the world of Hair with Barbering techniques at a professional level. You will learn from how to take care of your professional tools to making haircuts and designs. All the techniques taught in our professional courses can be performed on a person as a client as long as you have a license as a barber granted through the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. This program does not lead to a state license.

Professional Barbering Techniques Course

  • Introduction to the world of barbering.
  • Disinfection and maintenance of professional barber tools and workstations.

  • Use of the clipper and scissors.

  • How to start a service. Client consultation

  • Start of a cut with clipper and trimmer set step by step.

  • Fading technique, demonstration, and application.
  • Haircuts with professional barber scissors.

  • How to position the hands, section, and use the scissors.

  • Tapper haircut (theory and demonstration)

  • Comb over cut (theory and demonstration).

  • Fade cut (theory and demonstration).

  • Slide back cut (theory and demonstration).

  • Crew cut (theory and demonstration).

  • Mohawk & Faux hawk cut (theory and demonstration).

  • How to styling a male haircut.

  • Beard shaving, shaping, and design, including trimming, outlining, and detailing for clean and well-defined results.

  • Application of basic designs in Haircutting.

  • Intro to straight razor beard work and afro-textured haircuts.

  • Perms application in Barbering step by step

  • Application of SPA Techniques in Barbering services.

COURSE OVERVIEW / CLASS SCHEDULE

1 day per week of 4 hours per class:

  • Tue: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Sat: 10 AM – 2:00 PM

  • Sat: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM

  • Sun: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

The one-time payment is due at registration and includes a $200 non-refundable registration fee. The remaining balance is subject to the School’s cancellation and refund policy. An electronic receipt will be provided.

Then 12 WEEKLY PAYMENTS OF: $150.00

No, you do not need insurance or U.S. documentation to take the course.

You can enroll with a valid ID, such as a passport or state-issued identification.

Yes, the kit we provide contains what is necessary to perform each technique during class. However, you will need to replenish materials that are used up from practicing with your kit and possibly purchase other products, mannequins and/or tools required by your instructor during the course.

To obtain a barber license, you must complete a state-approved training program (1,000 hours) and pass the required licensing exam.

A barber license covers all services related to haircuts (both long and short), hairstyles, straightening, perms, hair coloring, facial services, and beard grooming. It is also the only license that allows you to perform haircuts or beard trims using a professional barber’s razor.
