This eyelash extension course is designed for students who want to enter the world of eyelash extensions at a professional level. We will train you in the application methods and procedures to perform a hair-by-hair eyelash placement job obtaining a professional result. In addition, we have added the Brow techniques (brow lamination & brow tinting using henna) that will help you to provide a more complete service to your client. All the techniques taught in our professional courses can be performed on a person as a client as long as you have a license as a cosmetologist and/or esthetician granted through the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. This program does not lead to a state license.

  • Safety and hygiene protocols, common irritations and allergies.

  • Glueing tabs and effective joining tips

  • Customer consultation, treatment and preparation for the service.

  • Proper hand shape and posture during eyelash extension application.

  • Adhesives: Types, Applications, and Best Practices.

  • Tweezers: types and applications

  • Introduction to 7 techniques: Classic, Hybrid, Volume, Mega Volume, Wispy, Wet effect and Hawaiian Style.

  • Lash growth cycle.

  • After care and problem solving.

  • Remove extensions and filling process.

  • Eyelash repair and proper aftercare practices.

  • Preparation of natural eyelashes and eyebrows, types and products to use
  • Color theory, skin tones and pigmentation tones on the eyebrow
  • Theory and demonstration of the brow lamination technique

  • Natural and long-lasting eyebrow tint using plant-based henna.

  • Wed: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

  • Sat: 10 AM – 2:00 PM

No, the professional eyelash and eyebrow extension techniques course we offer at AVL Academy is a 12-week course where you learn basic and advanced professional techniques applied to eyelashes and eyebrows, including new trends and handling professional products. If you wish to obtain an esthetician or cosmetology license, you need to contact state-accredited schools that offer training for obtaining the license in California or any other state of your preference. Remember that these schools only provide the training and ensure you meet the state requirements for obtaining your license. Once your training is complete, you will need to go to state facilities to take a final exam, and upon passing, you will receive your license.

No, to work in a professional beauty salon, an eyelash salon, or to provide services independently, you must have an Esthetician or Cosmetology license issued by the state of California or any other state where you live and perform eyelash extension and eyebrow services.

The kit includes a mannequin, specific products for performing the 7 eyelash extension techniques, the types of eyelashes we will use in the course, professional eyelash extension tweezers, adhesives, gel pads, disposable materials such as eyelash and eyebrow applicators, as well as materials for performing eyebrow lamination and tinting using henna, and much more.

You need to obtain an Esthetician license issued by the state of California, or you can also obtain a Cosmetology license. This license covers all services related to hair, such as haircuts (long and short), hairstyles, straightening, hair coloring, and permanents. It also covers makeup, facials, skin treatments, waxing, manicure, and pedicure. The only services you cannot perform are haircuts or beard trimming using a barber’s razor. For that, you need to obtain a Barbering license issued by the state of California or any other state where you live.
