Course

This course is designed for students who want to develop professional hair braiding skills. Students will learn a variety of braiding techniques, including cornrows, box braids, knotless braids, feed-in braids, protective styles, proper sectioning, hair preparation, sanitation, scalp care, and client safety practices. The program also covers current braiding trends, styling techniques, and professional presentation. Under current California regulations, natural hair braiding is exempt from licensure by the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology when performed within the scope permitted by state law.

1 day per week of 4 hours per class:

  • Wed: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

  • Sat: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM
