The professional makeup course is for all students who want to pursue makeup as a professional career. You will learn to create different styles of makeup with current techniques during each class. All the techniques taught in our professional courses can be performed on a person as a client as long as you have a license as a cosmetologist and/or esthetician granted through the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. This program does not lead to a state license.

No, to work as a professional makeup artist, whether in a beauty salon or at commercial events, you must have a valid Cosmetology or Esthetician license from your state.

No, BB Glow is a semi-permanent makeup treatment that originated in South Korea, giving the skin a natural and radiant glow. The procedure involves using micro or nano needles to apply a pigmented serum containing pigments, antioxidants, vitamins, and other ingredients to the skin. In our country, you need a valid esthetic nurse license to perform this technique.

There is no specific professional makeup license in California. To obtain a license in California that allows you to work in a salon and/or start your own business as a makeup artist, you must obtain a license in Cosmetology or Esthetics. For this, you should attend schools accredited by the California Board of Cosmetology and Barbering, which will inform you of the requirements to obtain your license through the state. Remember, the training program must be completed in the same state where you wish to obtain the license.

Yes, any new technique you learn requires continuous practice and dedication on your part to complete your learning. Our professional instructors teach you each technique step by step and share their experiences so you can become a professional artist.

In the professional makeup course, you will learn a wide range of techniques and styles, including natural, glam, editorial, fantasy, quinceañera, prom, sweet sixteen, and bridal makeup (levels I and II). Additionally, you will master specific techniques such as smokey eye, glitter application, multichrome flakes, cut-crease, and halo techniques. We will also teach you to adapt your skills to different skin tones and types, from the lightest to the darkest, ensuring comprehensive training in the art of makeup.

Yes, our mannequins have special textures that resemble real skin. Additionally, you will practice on other prototypes that will help you have a better experience and acquire the knowledge imparted in the course.
